Sweetland Wasichumn
Onagi Hoksila is a songwriter, guitarist and vocalist whose music is grounded in real life rather than industry polish. As the founding member of Sweetland and guitarist/singer of Wasi’chu, he crafts heavy, riff-driven compositions that draw from doom metal, sludge and alternative heaviness.
Coming from a lifelong blue-collar background and supporting two children while building his musical path, Onagi’s work carries an authenticity that can’t be manufactured. His songs are shaped by lived experience — long hours, responsibility, struggle and resilience — all translated into thick, downtuned riffs and emotionally raw performances.
Recently transitioning into making music full time, Onagi is entering a new chapter where grit meets focus. Whether through the crushing weight of Sweetland or the heavy intensity of Wasi’chu, his sound remains grounded, honest and uncompromising.
