Overcast Rain
Overcast Rain is a dark metal band from Liepāja, Latvia, formed in 2014 by Mihails Maslovs (vocals/guitar) and Kolja Kirk (drums). Over the years, the band evolved through several lineup changes, shaping a heavier and more uncompromising sound.
After early performances and the beginning of work on their debut album, tragedy struck with the passing of vocalist Viktoria Matveeva, leading to a temporary disbandment. In 2018, Mihails Maslovs and guitarist Andris Alekseevs revived Overcast Rain, rebuilding the lineup and refining their musical direction. From that point forward, the band embraced a harder, more aggressive sound, with Mihails taking full control of vocal duties.
The band has since released three albums: Since You Die (2020), My God Hates Me (2022) and Black Death (2025) under Brutal Records (USA). Their music is currently in rotation on 14 international radio stations.
Overcast Rain have performed extensively across Europe, appearing at festivals such as Dark Malta Fest, ElsRock Festival, GoatHell Metal Fest, Barbar Fest and many others. They have shared stages with internationally recognized acts including Die Krupps, Ost+Front, Blood Red Throne, Psyclon Nine, King Satan, Deathless Legacy and more.
Combining melodic darkness, modern heaviness and live intensity, Overcast Rain continue to strengthen their position within the European metal circuit.
